HOW TO GET STARTED IN GEORGIA
The easiest way to purchase artificial turf grass products in Georgia is to call Josh at Atlanta Putting Greens, the Atlanta-based division of Southern Greens. One of our turf experts will look forward to hearing your story. Our initial goal is to answer all questions and get you excited about the long-term advantages of “Going Green.” Typically, the next step is to schedule a site visit. (No charge) During the site visit we: identify project location, take measurements, discuss turf and design options, drainage, costs, and much more. The customer reviews a variety of turf products. They may all look ‘green,’ but different artificial turf grass varieties are manufactured with very specific intended uses. Once we achieve a clear understanding of the customer’s design and product preference we will submit a quote with renderings. New installs can be achieved within 2-4 weeks of the site visit.
Unlike carpet which is usually sold by the square yard artificial turf is sold by the square foot. Our manufacturer – FieldTurf (Dalton, GA) supplies us with huge rolls in 15-foot widths. Precise measurements are taken of the property to insure the best placement and waste is minimized. Proper installation of artificial/synthetic turf grass requires the use of heavy specialized equipment and specific installation techniques. The process is meticulous and generally takes 1-3 days. Obviously, square footage, terrain, weather, etc. will influence the duration of the project.
